The Morning Sterling Won

08/05/201412

Now that I have roped you in with my unbelievable title… back to reality 😉

Here is Sterling proclaiming that this is the morning he will win. Sophie finds this very entertaining…

I swam with the 6:30am Drinks Express. Lovely warm water, lovely people. On my return I find Dave still in shock from Tuesday’s trivia night. He assured us that some guy named Mongol was the head of the Ottoman Empire in the 13th Century. That is a point we are not getting back.

Here is the former bartender from the Eagles Nest at the Manly Leagues Club in the 80’s. Back in the day he poured a mean Freddy Fartucker. It was the perfect drink before heading onto the dance floor to do the twist, the nutcracker or bust out your Thriller moves.

Back to Sterling. In all seriousness he is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Here he is about to flash a jogger.

Beautiful morning as the 7am crew head out. Water is warmer than the air, so nice to get in and get going.

Continuing our series on Rocks of the Bold and Beautiful… here we have Shredder Rock. While most rocks on the point are covered in soft plant life, Shredder Rock is clothed in razor sharp barnacles. It lies right in the path of those who would choose to race. Many an A-teamer (I’ll let you decide what the A stands for) has left some skin on Shredder Rock.

Moments… seconds… nono-seconds after the racers, in comes Hon. Bruce Baird, once again winning his weight for age class division (1 entrant).

He will be speaking at the church I Pastor this Sunday. Here is a little plug… he will be imparting wisdom on life, love, faith, politics… much like most mornings over coffee.

Finally I had the joy of getting to cuddle Cammie (Scrappy Scotty and Noni’s beautiful little girl) and the Shmope at Havana Beach this morning.

This morning we had 90 swimmers enjoying the 21.1degree water. Three newbies joined us and we had a whopping 74 iLoggers. Well done team!

Have a great day!

    Golden blog Tim.
    Two points of query.
1/In Dave’s image, Lips is in the background (it appears unintentionally).
Is it unintentional or is this a new subtle form of photobombing?
2/Is the morning Sterling won, followed by the night they drove old Dixie down?

    To your first question John:
My blog appearances are NEVER unintentional. What might seem casual and unintended to the untrained eye is in fact a lot of hard work.
    Thanks for noticing.
Tim, another superb blog. Nice work on that cute ‘holding-the-babies’ sign-off pic. Have you considered a career in politics?

I’m sure that any of the A-team blogs will be great, Becky…. with all his fan mail going to his head, looks like you, the Spaniard and the others will have to elbow your way in, though!!
Very witty blog, Tim!… Dreamboat does look like he’s seen a ghost…must have been some shock at Trivia night!

Hey Timbo my speciality cocktail at the Eagles Nest was a Freddy Fudpucker before the patrons headed off for Eagle Rock on the dancefloor…it was a pinnacle of culture in them days at the club…
