Breaking news – Fairy Bower beach is back. A century of stolen sand has been returned to the beach at half way. Manly Surf Club is hustling for more lifesavers to protect Sydney’s newest beach. The local Speed Dealers group has already set up a volleyball court for a big Brits abroad volleyball competition this weekend.

Flat. Smooth. Pancake. Even. Level. No 100ft waves carving up the beach. Never been so excited to put goggles and cap on 🤩

13 waves 🌊 The sand robbing swell has died down. The Corso sandbanks have also disappeared ⛱️ Ali wanders to the point and (aghast) finds out where all the sand has gone.
Snoopy, Camille and I trotted north before wave hunting from the Corso to the Trident. The water temp is closer to 20 than 18 🤔 The smell of Summer is in the air 🌞
Swam back, amazing how the viz is clearing so fast after that easterly dumping swell. A couple of hundred at the wall, 7am pushing off, 6.30am sipping. What a winter we have had. Warmer, maybe moister and some fun wave action 💃🏼🕺
