15/10/20178

Another perfect morning and to paraphrase Lao Tzu:

“The journey of a thousand kilometres begins with one stroke”.

Dorset has been rebadged and getting even closer to his 2,000 kilometres.

Guy is still recuperating from a shoulder injury but may be back in the water tomorrow

if he can tear himself away from another coffee .

Roz made a triumphant return after recent hand surgery.

Meanwhile another 354 energetic souls were all eager to hit the water.

Emma with just a little more colour to brighten up the morning.

Ian with newbie, Christy.

Ben and Caz

The Dickerson family.

No blog is ever complete without at least one WOW photo.

Tam

Trouble

Errol and Glen

Another Errol, with his daughter Maddie.

Jerry and son Archie

Jo with her newbie friend, Tamara.

Rainer, desolate after he realised that the paparazzi were just not interested in him.

They were here for this stylish duo, Annie and Rusty.

To make up for the paps snubbing him, Rainer and Gemma.

Matt had his yacht moored out in the bay.

Word spread that he was serving bacon and egg rolls.

Lainey making a very elegant re-entry.

For those of us who made it to Shelly rather than hanging around for Matt’s Bloody Marys.

Sue and her son Nick

To quote the Dalai Lama:

“Happiness is not something readymade, it comes from your own actions.”

Here are some of the results of our actions this morning.

Louise, who is visiting from Vancouver and has fitted in 8 swims so far.

Stats:

Temp: 19.2

Expression of Interest!
Royal Far West would love to hear from any Bold & Beautiful members who are keen to help run a surf/sail/kayak or paddleboard program for our seniors during the summer months. These are children from the country who are at RFW for the week to receive medical help, speech pathology, OT, and more. We have foster kids, kids who come with their families or from remote areas where there is simply no assistance available. A working with children check and surf lifesaving qualification required. To register your interest or enquire please call Linda Scott on 86226838 or email lindas@royalfarwest.org.au. Other non water based volunteer opportunities are also available.

Wow you captured a lot of happy swimmers there Michael. Great blog! What a treat being served an egg and bacon roll on a beautiful yacht as I swam back to shore and lovely hot shower from Sid. Thanks Matt. Love the photo of Guy with his very endearing lopsided grin!

Nice try. Water temp is 19+. You two are still in your wetsuits. Let’s talk about that!
