Sunday 5 April 2015 – light filled day!

05/04/20158

What a contrast to yesterday – see photo of Belinda on the left yesterday and on the right today

Swimmers getting ready to go in

Reg Bruce and friends

Peter B and Wilf (Brian, Alli , Jen and Peter are away)

Alana and Peter L

Peter James and Vince

And into the water which was just lovely today

Here is Lynne who is slowly converting away from pool swimming (which is pretty good too)

And this is the view over my shoulder of the point as I try to get to Shelly before everyone else leaves. The pink caps are great to see.

The eastern suburbs of Shelly Beach presided over by John F and Martin

Anne and Alana at Shelly. at least the green cap is highly visible if not regulation

A wide view of the group singing happy birthday to Megan

Swimmer of the day, Alan Thomson (who is dedicated to climbing the Pacific Challenge ladder but can always stop to help people who need advice at the waves like me, repeatedly) with his lovely wife Kathy.

Lots of sightings of the turtle near the point by BB swimmers searching respectfully. I have not seen it but luckily Peter B took this photo (although not today). And remember if you see anyone harming the lovely creatures we enjoy while swimming, contact marine.environment@dpi.nsw.gov.au

A VERY Happy birthday Megan!

And good to see Bernhard is on the mend – he sends Easter greetings. Happy Easter to Bernhard and everyone.

150 swimmers today

7 newbies

water temperature: 21.4

Great first blog Elizabeth. You are really lovely blogging when you are such a busy lady. I love the way you have mentioned a lot of the early swimmers and quieter swimmers we don’t see much on the blog. Great to be inclusive😜 Mauricio saw 2 turtles today! I got to swim with Billy the Hawksbill again with Gillian. Wonderful!

    Great first blog Elizabeth.
Very impressed that you could swim, write your first blog and go to church (all in the one morning).

Read yesterday’s blog only this morning. Welcome to the bloggers Elizabeth, and great job. It’s only getting easier from here on.
Do I get royalties when a non-swimming photo is posted on the blog 🙂
