Sunday 16 August – Red Sky in the morning.. and a swimmers warning

16/08/20203

BOLD & BEAUTIFUL SWIM GROUP IS CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING DUE TO THE RISKS OF CORONAVIRUS(COVID-19). IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONTINUE PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND FOLLOW PUBLIC HEALTH ADVICE.

Thank you for swimming at different times of the day and please continue to stay safe and  remember to maintain 1.5m distance-especially in blog photos. Please read management notices at the end of the blog.

Beautiful view of sunrise today. Water temp 15.9 deg. C

Early swimmers emerged from the sea with a warning.. there are a few jellyfish out there… Innocently I swam out not thinking about what type of jellyfish might be around the point and then I saw the first one… It was pink with trailing tentacles… Yes the dreaded jimbles were lurking there.

Thanks to Ian and Linda for taking the water temperature. I barely thought about 15.9 deg C as I dodged the jimbles.

These swimmers were well prepared for what awaited them beyond the point. Well covered by wetsuits.
