The gurus pitch report
Leaving the fast filling car park with a “spring” in my step on a good looking Friday morning, the gentle little sou-easter was a reminder that Mother Nature wasn’t done with winter just yet. 1st September – “a pinch and a punch for the first day of the month”, however no such pranks recommended these days in order to keep away from the courts on assault or sexual harassment charges!
Just another glorious sunrise yet again, but some dark clouds off the coast threatened to ruin the serenity. A 16.4deg water temp indicated the ocean didn’t know it was spring, but glorious swim conditions nonetheless – plenty of marine life, the obligatory PJs and clear enough all the way to Shelly. The occasional patches of warm were welcoming, but I wish the Bower Street residents would stop tipping their left over party ice into the water at Shelly!
Whilst those dark clouds did unfortunately dampen our coffee cups at the finish, there’s plenty of warmer days and ocean temps to look forward to now that winter is behind us.
Councillor and Deputy dog Dave wasn’t convinced that winter was over – Richard certainly was

Chippo hasn’t moved from his Fijian deckchair except to get another margaritas…
Thanks for the swim and coffee and margaritas. Remember don’t let your true live run cold.
