These were the morning shots as the sun rose for early swimmers, just beautiful and perfect conditions for a swim across the bay and back.
Jim has just returned from a holiday in Tassie, nice! Chris et co were getting ready nearby for their Saturday swim
Lots of people coming in dribs and drabs througout the morning. These guys started with us and were chatting about the concept of cold water and ice baths, and up she went straight into the air! Never seen a girl jump so far so fast, then they were off to the point in the blink of an eyelid.
I swam with Elizabeth and Allan: here, there and everywhere. Bernhard was at the beginning of the swim and stopped for a pic.
I saw these things today and a dusky near the bower break ( way too deep to get a pic of ) plus lots of fish but nothing like yesterday’s swim.
Temperature was 17.5, it’s still so nice and warm once you get moving and into the bay. Not sure when it’s going to drop but get your swims in now if you want a winter badge without doing most of it in the coldest weeks.
Anne is off to Heron Island today for a break, I caught her yesterday as she was having a lunch time dip
Happy birthday to Fiona McTackett and Clare Martin, I missed Clare today but heard about a picnic on the wall for Fiona. The WOWS do everything in style
The beach as I left, sun well and truly up, warming the earth for today
Just a few of yesterday’s swim, spectacular as it was
Ok, that’s all from me folks, remember to tick swims if you want to get a badge. This year they have to be at Manly, no covid swims allowed to qualify. Enjoy the conditions while they’re here and stay safe.
Edwina.
