Another stunner in our corner of the world… water temp down a little bit to 17.4 degrees, but Spring has truly sprung!
Espaniola is as fit as a fiddle at the moment heading into the Coooooolangatta Gold.
Semi-professional swimmer Dave is off to Canboring today to attend some function with some people at some place… I was listening… honestly…
The ever effervescent (def. vivacious, enthusiastic, fizzy) Lainey was hopping about!
Men of Steel (calendar out soon) loitering after the 6:30am swim…
It was a fiercely fought swim by the A-team on the way back this morning. Jesse stormed to front, soon joined by Scrappy Scotty and Matt. Wetsuited Sterling and I jumped on their feet. I made my move with 100 meters to go and was practicing my victory speech… unfortunately on the rocks, Scotty swam underneath me, grabbed a rock, pulled through on to a wave and surged to victory. He honestly is the Master of the Rocks! Here he is making it clear who won…
My inspiration for the day comes from Henri Nouwen, a Dutch catholic priest who after two decades of teaching at Harvard and Yale went on to work with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities in the L’arche community in Ontario. He writes; “Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someones face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions.”
Have a great day! This is what it looked like by 8:30am.
Much love,
The Bishop
