Well I’m calling it- a top 10 swim today!
While any swim is a good swim, some days are just magical- crystal clear 20.2 degree water, a stunning sunrise, an abundance of marine life and smiles everywhere you look.
Firstly, congratulations to Wills and Kate on their wedding anniversary today.
So great they could join us.
It feels like only yesterday they were married, but it was 6 years ago!
Here they are on 29/4/2011.
Kate really seemed to enjoy her swim- maybe it was the duskie display slightly north of the point (she said she saw at least 30)…
or the port jackson relaxing at the point, or the aquarium like conditions.
Here are the 6.30’s heading out to a stunning sunrise.
And half an hour later as the 7 o’clockers head out.
We had at least 320 swimmers today including 9 lucky newbies…
what a day to start a new addiction.
No newbies in this colourful group- they’re already well addicted.
Trent and Mark were there, fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Australian Working Dog Rescue Int.
They are doing a 10km swim for charity- good luck guys. Donate at Facebook/swimforcharity.
And others came to celebrate their birthdays.
Happy birthday to Uma Thurman, 47 today!
And happy birthday to tennis legend, Andre Agassi, also 47 today!
Michelle Pfeiffer, looking good and still swimming strong at 59 today.
Celebrating her birthday with her toy boy.
And finally Jerry Seinfeld; fit, funny and 63 today.

Top day in the water. Top blog. One of the best ever.
Can you please take the picture of Michelle Pfeiffer down please?
I don’t want Veena to see what happens at the BnB.
PS Kate, I think I have your Cozzie.

Big thanks to everyone who supported this morning’s cake stall. A very generous $827 was raised for Royal Flying Doctor Service & Australian Working Dog Rescue. Both very worthwhile causes. Did you know our very own Rosie (so sadly recently departed) was an AWDR rescue dog? Lee did such a tremendous job taking her from traumatised (remember how nervous/ snappy she was at first) to fully loved and comfortable (the same girl just standing around between our legs taking pats from all) 💛. In attendance today was Jackie another of our B&B dogs/family who came from AWDR. If she looks at you with a quizzical tilt to her gaze its because she came to rescue with a head injury. She enjoyed eating some bits of treats from the cake stall 💙.

Great Blog 🙂
I saw the Duskies and was suitably impressed.
James the Balgowlah Baker Extraordinaire was swamped with tales of Dusky Sharks cavorting with us while he slaved away, hot oven, fingers to the bone, no rest for the wicked, never a word of complaint, when did you last take me out dancing, for a restaurant meal, I am just your bloody slave …. OK a modicum of complaining.
Serves him right for being a baker who produces such jolly good goodies.
Maybe tomorrow James, the Duskies seem to live locally

Thanks, Jen, for a wonderfully entertaining example exemplifying the collective creativity of our bloggers. How many different ways can you guys report “Yes, a whole load of us got wet today”?
Unfortunately, having headed out with the 6am group for a tour of Deadman’s then up to Freshwater, I missed out on our royal attendees. Although it’s really Kate’s sister Pippa that I’d be intrigued to meet.
Pippa has competed in Sweden’s Otillo race consisting of 10km of swimming and 65km of cross-country running. Spread over 26 islands separated by swims of various distances, the event requires competitors to carry all their own gear, from running shoes to wetsuits.
She has some serious athletic cred with epic X-country skiing and cycling events too.

Thank you for those very kind words Elizabeth. Yes, Rosie was very loved and felt very secure. She loved coming with me on walks in the morning as she knew she would get a treat and watch all the early morning people – if she was a person you would call her a “people watcher”. She is so sadly missed by “Mrs Rosie”. xoxo
