Booties, gloves, thermal head gear, sleeveless and full wetsuits. I’m seeing a lot of gear at the moment. However, don’t forget that there are many swimsuit options when it comes to getting your winter badge! Bikinis and budgie smugglers, one pieces, trisuits, rashy and boardie combinations, even the birthday suit has had some airplay recently. I counted 40 of the 101 swimmers who today took a brief dip in the ocean. I’ll take this as proof that no matter how much gear you have or do not have, we all enjoy what the brief swim in the ocean does for our bodies, and the more prolonged satisfaction of a day that begins with B&B.
A brief 4 degree start:
The sky was dark but our spirits were light:
This is Cam who is raising funds for the Nepal Earthquake by completing 20 winter swims. (Nearly there!) He is in Year 6 and has a total of $1800 so far. Could you help him reach (or pass) his fundraising goal of $2000? Details attached here: Download Cameron Ingle’s swim for Nepal. For ways to donate please email Cam at: ingcame@stu.staloysius.nsw.edu.au
A couple of small waves to wake us up:
Embodying brevity:
Look out for these ladies in the newspaper!
Have a wonderful day!
Anna.

Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. You have captured the morning well Anna. Could someone please tell me who is blogging tomorrow as Rusty has sent me a photo of a new Pink Cap member from Blackheath that he would like published in tomorrow’s blog. Thanks.

Did anyone else hear Elizabeth talking with James Valentine on 702 yesterday afternoon? Hotly followed by one of the fellows, sorry I didn’t catch your name! James though we were crazy, but we all know better.

Not me. May have been the original Elizabeth – she of the > 1,000 km swum. However there are more than just two of us actually so perhaps another one. Well done Cam, soldiering on despite a nasty jimble sting today. Nice blog Anna, thanks. BTW why are those ladies going to be in the paper?

Have you noticed what a pretty pattern Bob and Brendan make on the Pacific Bumps chart?
