Sat 14/3: Something fishy about this blog

14/03/20156

There’s something about a morning ocean swim with friends and fish which allows us to live in the moment.

First light breaks over Manly Beach:

The water invites us:

Quiet contemplation on the rocks wishing they were swimming with pink cappers:

Taking it all in:

This is hardcore!

Charlie and her Dad.  It’s Charlie’s first swim:

Flathead chilling:

Today I decided to go on a ‘snorkel safari’ and was ably guided by Ian and Lainey.  Next time I’ll actually bring a snorkel!

Old wife:

Dusky:

Big groper in sandy waters near the point:

A cormorant diving for an easy breakfast:

Stats:

195 swimmers

15 newbies

22.7 degrees

Boulderdash

The boulder dash has officially finished for the season, so should not be logged from now on.  If you want to do a longer swim, the double to Shelley is still available.  Thank you, Management.

Lovely blog Anna. What a swim! Love that photo with swimmers raising arms at sunrise heading to The Point! Well done on getting that shot of the Cormorant, they are so quick!
Thank you to everyone on behalf of Shelly the Turtle and Sharnie who baked or bought at the cake stall. I think $540 has been raised so far and Leisa is bringing down some leftovers tomorrow! Happy weekend folks.

Great blog Anna. I love the cormorant shot too
Missing – one black Ipanema thong (smallish feet) missing from B&B Central this am. It may have fallen into someone’s bag from the hooks where it was. Thanks

Bruce Cuttance and Reg Bohler are expected to achieve their 1000km badges tomorrow – woo hoo, great effort. All welcome to join in the Welcome in Arches for their triumph in the am

Enjoyed your blog Anna. Is there a reason why Boulderdahers now do not count????

Funnily enough Anna I had the exact same title for a blog back in October! It was a bit daft with fish puns (it ended off like this…) I don’t think many people read it!
I hope I managed to weaver fish pun in to this blog without getting myself tangled up. I hope you all have salmon chanted evening and my fish puns weren’t a load of pollacks! I tried to be creative with my whiting!
