Dual definitions for “sunny” today: the more literal meaning of sunlight, and a personification of the day as having a happy disposition…
Bathed in light, 160 or so swimmers entered 19.3 degree water with smiles on their faces. Everyone must have been really keen today because it felt like we started half way across the bay! A comment heard post swim likened the experience to being in a hammock. The rolling waves gently rocked us to our happy state. Hoorah for the weekend!

I posted this a bit late yesterday so here it is again for general interest. Lainey-Loo saw a dark Leatherjacket with golden googly eyes:
“Yes Lainey – I saw it too – in fact a pair. They are Black Reef LJs (Eubalichthys bucephalus), not often seen and nearly always in pairs. I have seen them a few times at Fairlight and always in pairs. See:
