Ah, to be greeted by flat, cool water at low tide. Hello weekend!

It’s only the third time I’ve taken my snorkel down to the B&B. Last time I was rewarded with two turtle spottings, 3 Duskies and a cuttlefish, so it was with great anticipation that I headed into the water today. Unfortunately the visibility wasn’t so good, and all I saw whilst swimming was this:

Tony and 13 year old newbie Frankie fresh from the UK. Onya!
Shelly Beach in snorkeler stealth mode:
Disadvantages: a snorkel mask groove in your face that lasts far longer than standard goggles. It’s also hard to get enough air in your lungs when you’re swimming fast!
Advantages: live 3D widescreen – boom! With my head stuck permanently in the water I managed to spot something I’ve only seen once before – a cuttlefish!

Even the fish and a sting ray were looking at the cuttlefish:

Finally as a cheeky bit of seaweed:

Don’t forget the little fishies!

Traffic Finding Nemo style:

Enjoy your weekend!
Anna Bananna =)

I love the snorkelling perspective myself and am prepared to suffer those unattractive facial grooves to get the best view of the underwater wonders. Fabulous swimming on offer today, and lovely blog to top it off, thanks Anna.

I regularly wear a snorkel (actually I never swim without now!)
Sooooo much to see….today got to see the turtle 🙂 and two cuttlefish, one almost white as it travelled over sand and then turned colour and looked spiky when it reached the rocks and weed – impressive colour change display.
Unfortunately I dont tend to see swimmers coming the other way, or next to me…sorry JP for bumping into you near The Point – possibly cost you a win or something …

Hi, my name is Lips. I don’t wear a snorkel myself but I have lots of friends that do. I’m supportive of their lifestyle choice.
Great blog Anna!
