07/05/2012 – Tequila Sunrise!

07/05/20125

Over 37 Bold and Beautiful Swimmers!

Big waves and a lovely sunrise greeted us this morning.  Water is still warm at 21.2. Air temp was chilly!

A few of us went around to half way – the rest went in from the beach!

Michelle doing a little jig before tackling the big waves! Paige and Michelle very brave and strong Extreme Sport Athletes!

Will they make it??? yes..!

Deciding who is going in first! Looks like Russell (?) chose short straw! Cute Jesse Noone joined us around at Half way with her dad Chris…

Rare sighting of a “rubberglovicas” jelly fish – Chris Noone helping me set up the shot.  Me modelling latest in Byron rash vests! Michelle and Paige made it back safely!

All in all another great swim!

Bold and Beautiful Extra News!

Byron Swim

The main swim was cancelled but a lot went ahead and did it anyway – Local newspaper story Read here

Gab Stokes, Heidi James and Derek Dreyer – at start of race at Wategos. Although the race was cancelled they all still went ahead and did it anyway… Heidi and Gab completed the race through huge waves – very brave! Not sure if Derek made it?? Derek?? He DID have to borrow his son’s budgies for the race – so that may have hindered his performance! ;-D

Second pic of the guys who saved me on the rubber ducky!!

Argyle Lake Swim

Pictures from the swim – looks absolutely fabulous!!

THE RESULT!! (Also, Ben Hutt did 20km solo in 6:55 and Cae came 3rd in 10km solo in around 3:21)

Day after the swim – Brendan, James and Stephen relaxing in the most amazing swimming pool!! Photo needs a caption!!!??? Many come to mind! hee hee  **(I have updated pic!)**

And from Nicolee Goins:

Thought I’d send a picture from today. Nicole Phia and I went away to a coastal location, as the boys are in Argyle, we thought we’d go away as well, lets see who can guess where we went from this pic? (which Beach is this?)

Just a little blurb as well, we raised $183 for the surfrider foundation from our raffle we did, Iain McGregor won the knitted dolls (very cute), Anna A the pie carrier, and Annette M (my sis) won the jewellery, big thanks to all who bought a ticket as the surfrider foundation is as keen as all of us to protect our waves and beaches. woo hoo

Fabulous photos, love the Byron rashie, Lesley.
Hey Nic, I’m guessing the beach yourself & Nicole were photographed @ was somewhere north of Sydney. Perhaps a great beach to observe the ‘Super Moon” from?
