Did you swim this morning?
It was a mixed experience… warm water, clear, calm conditions… but also a few jimbles taking a nip out of some swimmers.
Winter Triple Crown winner El Spaniardo got a good jimbling and decided to walk back from Shelly Beach. They seemed to be hanging out in line with the Bower surf break. I was swimming with my eyes on the water line to do my best at avoiding them. Despite this I did cop one on the cheek. Ouch! If you are coming down it may be worth thinking about donning the rubber!
Someone asked me this morning if there would be a photo of Sterling and Dave in the blog this morning. So… under pressure, with an audience to please… here you go!
It was a great Winter Triple Crown over the long weekend. It came down in the last race to Scrappy Scotty versus El Spanpompodoro. But the Spaniard was too good – stretching out his lead over the last 150m. Well done mate – well deserved!
Keep in your thoughts and prayers some of our much loved swimmers who are going through difficult times at the moment. Today Ed Selby has a big surgery ahead of him! Much love to you and others Ed!
Mr Pete Anthony is looking strong… unlike his beloved Manly Sea Eagles. A bunch of us are going to the Tigers v Manly game on Friday 19th of June. Let me know if you want to join us. Last year my Tigers got cleaned up at Brooky, so we will see how we go this year. A bunch of us went, froze our arses off, ate disgusting hot dogs, got taken some dodgy way home by Pete and generally had a great time.
So I am not kidding you… I saw a dog driving a car in Manly yesterday.
OK, have a great day and see you in the sauce tomorrow!

V happy I swam in a wetsuit today, although spotted multiple Jimbles near Half Way steps and that prompted a swift exit.
Not after spotting Shelly the turtle – probably trying to help out the B&B swimmers by eating all the jimbles!

I saw Shelly the turtle Tuesday am in CBT. Elizabeth, thanks for the tip about following her @: http://www.turtlewatch.org.au/
She is an amazing girl. It looks like she climbs up over North head and walks along Bower St to go visit the mates she made at the aquarium and then walks back down the Corso to take a swim to Queensie. As well as eating jimbles – what a legend
