Great morning down at the swim. Warm water, 21 new swimmers and beautiful conditions. Lovely to walk down the stairs to this…
And then I thought lets take a little selfie with Rob the Paddler. What was going on here? Any caption ideas?
Great to have my good friends Mark and Kumi down for a swim this morning. I had the privilege of taking their wedding late last year up at our church. Kumi reads the news on ABC24 weekday evenings with style and vigour! Mark is a tech entrepreneur here in Manly. Wonderful people…
Also good to see Sterling and Dave sucking it in… looks like they need a good meal!
Well it was a lovely swim except for the non-conformist at Shelly Beach…. Honestly! Unfortunately that gave me no advantage and the Spaniard and Irishman Alex swept around the rocks while I left some skin behind. So who won?
Great to reconnect with one of my High School teachers down at the swim recently. Phil teaches up at Knox Grammar and helped steer me in the right direction back in the day! Are there any other Knox boys at the swim? So far we have Nick Dawkins, Sterling Brain, Steve Baird and moi. I bet there are a few other of the mighty Black and Blue! Anyone willing to admit it?
And finally Murray came down and joined his Dad for a swim. Murray has almost single handedly renovated our apartment in Manly knocking out walls, installing doors and flooring, painting, tiling and much more. If you need a legend – get Murray! He also leads Christian Surfers in Manly – a great activity for teens in Manly every Thursday afternoon. Shoot me a message if your kids would be interested.
OK, have a great day and I say lets do it all again tomorrow… same place, same time, same friendly faces, same swim route, same jostling around the rocks, same coffee orders, same blessed life!

I think Rib is whispering to Tim, ‘quick get your camera out. Dreamboat hasn’t packed his lunch well enough again. A gonad’s slipped out again!’

Happy, positive blog Tim! Anne E also said we’ll have our 9,000’th swimmer tomorrow. No LL I reckon Rob is saying something far more sleazy than that!

Sneaky cheeky effort with the announcement today Tim.
Unfortunately your dive in without the call giving you a 2m head start has led to the disqualification of many including most of the A team for starting before the “Lets Go”.
I believe “Avalanche of Abundance Peter” was the only A Teamer who started after Anne’s muffled Lets go.
Congratulation Pete. 🙂
