A zephyr of 3k’s met us this morning as we raced for the 6:30 start. A small 1 metre swell and 19 degree’s of crispness in the water made for a refreshing kick off. The rest of the week will see the South easter build and the swell will likely double by Thursday. For more on Nigel see further down….
A couple of keen as mustard early starters.
The Yoga one legged down under in full swing
A storm out to sea but calm in the corner
Classic conditions
Penny Barents amongst others champing to beat the PB in the conditions.
Edwina already prepping at the starting line.
Pretty clear at the point and lots of fishies.
Pretty clear from down under too
Sheet of glass
The 6:30 A team powering in at a higher altitude
And the afternoon shift at 7:05 getting pumped hearing about Melissa’s first swim since the broken shoulder.
And finally Footsy, Colin, Miranda Bondi and Nigel no Friends are being released today at Shelley after a salubrious stay at the Taronga 5 star infirmary. Keep an eye out for these guys who hopefully will make Shelley home.
Have a great week people.
And in other news….
Nothing to report.

I love that photo of swimmers from below. By what wizardry did you manage that? I have never seen a real penguin in Manly. Only the ones painted on footpath. I will look out now
