# my Day is better than your holiday !

12/10/201510

Well not if you swam with me today, What a brilliant day it has started out !

Down for Booty camp @ 6am to watch the sunrise

Flat out  doing our superman exercises at flying school.

Edwina still does the chicken wings when a wave comes, but soon gets her head down and she is off !!

What a magnificent swim to Shelly, daylight saving gives us an early start to a fabulous location.

Ros must have had an early start ! as she was one of the early birds to Shelly.

It’s been a while, cause Tedly has been away to Russia, Holland (to see his mum)

But Lips is overjoyed to see him hence the man hug, Derek looks a bit embarrassed by their open affection for each other ! But what the hell we live in enlightened times.

Heather, who hasn’t swum for ages tries to explain that life is a balancing act.

She said…..Sooooo good to be back swimming!!! Great friends, school of stingrays, feel amazing!!!!!!🏊🏽😍💥

I waited at the point to get some swimmers coming back,

this I think was Chris Taylor with Rob Humphrey just ahead of him !

Rob tells me its a couple of degrees warmer at this shower than the one at the surf club & she is right…. so nice in the sun.

Hope you all have a great week, mine has started out good, why not come down for a swim ??

B&B Monthly Dinner – this coming Tuesday Night!

The next B&B monthly dinner will be this coming Tuesday 13th October at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker for the night will be one of our own swimmers, Merrilee Linegar, who is a qualified nutritionist and herbalist. Merrilee’s topic for the night will be Brain Longevity. The way you live your life today affects how your brain functions tomorrow. Merrilee will discuss how natural medicine, diet and lifestyle improvements can optimise brain function, prevent memory loss and decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s. While most of us keep our bodies fit by swimming regularly, we often forget about our brains. Don’t miss this one!

The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (including a vegetarian option), corkage (for BYO wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential:  To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please BOOK HERE NOW

Staying safe

Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.  Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

The 6:30 crew was blessed with a spotted eagle ray leading a crew of other rays about 10 or so just past the point! What an amazing way to start the day!
