24/09/2013 – Bring it on….

24/09/201318

What an amazing swim this morning.  With the water temperature climbing over the last couple of days is was a leisurley paddle in the water this morning, even for the people wearing wetsuits.  My feet didn’t even get cold so that’s a good indicator of the warmer temps.

The early sunrise and warmer temps are bringing everyone to the beaches.  There are people out and about jogging, riding, yogaring, swimming, walking etc. It’s great to see so many people out making the most of the beaches.

Such a bleak start to the day but it kept us warm under all of those clouds.  It always makes for a good photo. Where’s the surf?

oh Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. Some of us barely make it here in the mornings but manage to scrape ourselves up and always enjoy the swim.

Beware of the crabs.  We heard that Bella got crabs again.  😉

Ian finally gets a cuddle today, although I am not sure if he is more interested in what Nick & John are doing. Seriously guys what’s so intersting that can distract Ian from cuddles? Do you even have a top on Bella?

I always enjoy watching everyone to stay dry for the longest amount of time possible.  Even if the water is warm.  Getting in is always the hardest part of the swim.

Michael breaking through some of the small waves we had today.

Stephen, helping Bella get wet this morning.  Don’t think Krystyna is up for any of that…

Congratuations to Brad who reached is 500km this morning. Hmmm, did he swim to Shelley or walk today.  Does that count?

Corrine & Rainer taking their time to avoid the peak hour rush turnaround at Shelley.

With the murky water this morning, i didn’t really get any great underwater shots so I though that I would share some of of underwater shots from Maui Hawaii from my recent trip.  I hope that you enjoy as much as I did.

Special Event – Monthly Dinner – Bluewater Cafe – Next Tuesday 1st October

At our monthly dinner next Tuesday night at Bluewater Cafe at 6.30 pm we will be launching the new B&B Attendance App! If you are tired of waiting in the queue to tick your name off, then the App is an exciting development. We will have a presentation to show you how you can log on from your phone/computer before you swim, without having to tick. Come along and find out all the details.

The dinner is also a great chance to catch up with your B&B friends at an informal gathering. The cost is excellent value at $20 for two courses, with $5 drinks, $5 desserts and no corkage for BYO wine. Bluewater also now offers $25 special meals in addition to our standard $20 deal.

Bookings are essential so book early HERE to avoid disappointment, as numbers will be limited to 100. Remember, the latest batch of 500 and 1000 km badges will also be presented, so it should be a HUGE night.

Staying safe

Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.

love the images of Maui, however I’d seen that ray shot and also one ray at Shelley this morning. Thinking your camera lies, it didn’t have spots before I’d read the caption!
