Nice blog Simon! I just want to give a BIG CONGRATULATIONS & HUGS to Elizabeth Stewart who swam and finished the Palm Beach to Whale Beach yesterday (not the first time). Yesterday there was quite a lot of movement in the water making it an arduous swim and many swimmers swam much further than the touted 2.8 km. Many found themselves substantially off the coastline. For someone who was scared to go into sea-water above her knees she is a true hero and I greatly admire her. I am sorry I was not at the finish line to cheer her as she crossed the line!

The first “gun” photo looks like there is a gun pointed at them! Terrible to mention sea snake. Also I am glad to bring some ridiculous to everything I do. In an era where everything is about being a winner and elite I am stuck in the era of join in and participate. I do like swimming so
