Monday 27th January 2020 – newbies, big swim, honeymooners

It’s a public holiday so there were 500 swimmers. The water temp was a toasty 23 degrees.

37 newbies including:

Lucy and her mum Jean.

 

Flo Georgie & Elyse plus Alannah and Aidan with dad Christian.


Tim Finn Kodi Mum Noreen(expecting newbie) Brayden & Aunty Amanda.

Congratulations to the loads of B&Bers who swam in yesterday’s Big Swim (Palm Beach to Whale Beach). Such as English Tim 1st in 40-49s, Jane 4th, Tricia 6th…..

And the Drinkwater’s – who beat who??

and Inge who podiumed with Silver.

Kevin & Edwina completed their 6km swim recently.

SWIMMER OF THE YEAR
B&B is pleased to announced that the Medibank Free+Active swimmer of the year for 2019 is …….. ROB YEATES. He will receive a $500 Rebel Sports voucher courtesy of Medibank Free+Active.
If you would like to become swimmer of the year for 2020 it’s simple. All you have to do is:
  • swim at  least once in every month
  • log your swims
The more times you swim, the more chances you get to win the prize. Rob swam 159 times through the year to win the big prize.
 
Medibank Free+Active also provide a monthly prize of a $100 Rebel Sports voucher. The swimmer of the month is selected from all those swimmers who swam at least once during the month. The more times you swim, the more chances you get to win the prize. The swimmer of the month for December was JOHN CUNNINGHAM. Congratulations John.

    Thanks Simon for your lovely blog…each blogger brings something different! I spotted a few other Bold and Beautiful swimmers up at Palm Beach yesterday – there was Bruce Baird, Inez and Jim, Carel, Alister and super speedy Natalie of the A team. Great to see people just having a go.
