It’s 6.30 Monday morning, air temp 13 deg, water temp 19.9 degs as:
Storchy’s bootcamp starts a series of beach sprints,
( David Panton, in the lead, has to make sure he is fit enough for his date with the Foreign Minister tonight)
The Drinks Express enters water
I had my bike today so I was able to catch them at the point against the rays of the rising sun
and swimming between the mermaids by the pool
and for their 6.45 roll call at Shelly
Meanwhile, back at Manly before 7am
Ali Clair & Reg swam at 6
Marco and his wife in black
Ladies in purple
The quote of the day came from Sterling,
“My life’s ambition before I turn 50, (I’m 42 this year), is to win a race with the B&B”.
Well Sterling you made it, you won a race on ANZAC day!!
And here are the results you sent me:
Sterling 10
Scotty 9
Ghost 8
James 7
Spaniard 6
Matt 5
Cam 4
Brad 3
Sophie 2
Sarah 1
What’s next?
Oh, that’s right you beat John Paul today despite his new $900 Orca wetsuit
Here you are (left) on ANZAC day in the winners circle
Sterling you were jumping around so much as the winner that my wife asked me to pose with you and
Sophie (winner of the girls Triple Crown – “catch me if you can I swim like a girl”)
But overall the 3 race series – Easter/ANZAC Triple Crown – went to George ‘the ghost’.
Congratulations George!!
(the Bishop reluctantly handing over the Tripe Crown cup)
Quite a few of us B&Bers swam in the Curl Curl to Freshwater 2km swim yesterday. Here are the results:

Special Event – Guest Speaker!
The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 12th May at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker for the night will be one of our own swimmers, Merrilee Linegar, who is a qualified nutritionist and herbalist. Merrilee will discuss how to strengthen your immune system naturally with immune-boosting foods, teas and nutritional supplements. With winter is fast approaching, and with it the potential for flu and colds, this is a talk you don’t want to miss.
The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential: To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please BOOK HERE NOW.
