BOLD & BEAUTIFUL IS NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING DUE TO THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING AND STAYING INSIDE AS MUCH AS IS POSSIBLE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19).
It’s also important to swim at different times not in large groups to comply with Covid 19 advice from the government.
Which Simon says……?
Trish, Danny et al took the Shelly option.
The Simon Phin Report – What can we take from today? The 6:30amSwimmers might be brave, but they’re not foolish. The conditions didn’t lie, only the foolish and fool hardy would have swum out into a ENE swell at low tide around Manly Point. So, once conditions were assessed the group, keeping their distance, stayed as a group and shared responsibility for each other’s well-being and swam from Bower to Shelley return – and enjoyed coffee!
Rip & Swell.
Empty ramp with a few exceptions such as Dave Panton, Vince & Murray.
The majority took the “coffee option”.
Or walked to the point….
Jonny’s secret weapon.
A note from The Trooper (on shoulders below)
Hello B&B. I am dead keen on making Dry July a winner. I’ve been off the sauce since my ear operation on 20 June and do want to put a little in the pocket of the people helping raise money for Cancer (the prick he is, Jack The Dancer). So, if you could spare a dollar or two, even a Fiver or a Tener would be brilliant – https://www.dryjuly.com/users/simon-phin It Gets Better! For everyone who throws a little coin my way I will give you a brand new swim cap. Yes the 2020 Barney Mullins Swim Cap – (it’s red, and it will make you go fast!). I do appreciate your support. Thankyou!
Message from the Lifeguard.
Stay safe and keep your distance.
Simon

Ugly! …the conditions, not the Simons (although in answer to your headline question, my guess is Roger Ingram?)
Very dramatic blog, thanks Simon.

The best photo of the conditions was the one showing the faces of the early swimmers only
