August 24, 201520

5.55am – Anyone for booty camp?

Storchy’s script

Storchy’s exercise song – that just happens to be one of Leila’s (5yr old) favourites

Start humming

“…..That’s what people say, mmm-mmm

But I keep cruising
Can’t stop, won’t stop moving
It’s like I got this music
In my mind
Saying, “It’s gonna be alright.”

‘Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off”.

6.05 and Ali said, “my goggles are scratched”

pre-swim stretch + cap-light

6.10 – Alex finally arrived

The Spaniard – cross-training to give him the edge over Tim & Sterling in the triple crown

Breaking news, “Leveena’s lost flipper has been found!!”

Jill & Matt

Lyndall

Sparkles and Sophie won today’s race

Time for coffee on the beach

Breakfast of Champions

Ian said, “did someone lose their cosies and goggles?”

Shark #1 – Sad news, this 1 metre Dusky was washed up on the beach

Shark #2 –  The following video by Mauricio  is simply the best underwater footage of our beloved Cabbage Tree Bay this season. Thanks Mauricio!

Have a great week ahead.

Simon

The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 8th September at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant.
Our guest speaker will be Guy Dunstan, who held CEO and senior management positions with major media and investment banking corporations in twenty countries throughout the world.  That was before he experienced a severe episode of mental ill-health (severe melancholic depression + bi-polar disorder) and was forced to leave the workforce.  From that moment, his life spiraled out of control in a seemingly never-ending downward vortex that ultimately resulted in him losing his career, reputation, wealth, marriage, family and friends.  He was left broke, homeless and socially shunned.  With seemingly no other options available , Guy eventually reentered the workforce as a manual laborer working the night shift at the Sydney Fruit Markets . After 2 years in that role he now regards this period as the toughest ,yet most challenging ,meaningful ,and rewarding of his career .
Guy is uniquely placed to offer insights into the complex and largely misunderstood subject of mental health and it´s prevalence and impact in the workplace . Guy will deliver an insiders view of what it is really like to experience mental ill-health in the workplace ,and ,in particular how this experience can potentially impact the lives of individuals concerned , the groups they work in ,and the organization as a whole .
Guy is currently Senior Advisor to The Black Dogs Institute Australia´s leading research institute in the area of Mental Health and Mood Disorders .

The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential:  To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please BOOK HERE NOW,

2015 Winter Badge Ceremony Sunday 13th September

Someone asked me yesterday what PJs eat and I thought they were herbivores, but I was wrong. Here’s what the OzMus says:
    Common name: Port Jackson Shark
    Scientific name: Heterodontus portusjacksoni
They eat small bony fishes, crabs, lobsters, octopuses and sea urchins. The front teeth are small and pointed for holding and breaking prey. Their back teeth are broad and flat, perfect for crushing and grinding prey.
