Special Event – Guest Speakers!
The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 11th November at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Cafe and will be our last for the year. Our special guest speakers this month will be two of our most knowledgeable swimmers, Dr Rainer Noack and Professor Nick Dawkins, who will provide a follow up presentation to their previous dissertation on swimming etiquette, titled:
“How to get ahead in the B&B”.
The learned gentlemen have assured us that the content will be both informative and amusing. Don’t miss out on this important event – book early!
To mark this occasion, we have a new and improved menu with more choices. The cost has increased slightly to $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. This is still outstanding value. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential. To secure your spot please BOOK HERE NOW,
BOULDERDASH – Started on 27th October
The Boulderdash has started and will run every day until the end of Summer. The start time is just before 6 am at Manly Surf Club, and the route goes from Manly to Queenscliff and back (3 km total). You should be back at the Club just in time for the 7 am Shelly swim. If you are intending to do the Boulderdash, can you please swim with the group at the correct starting time (random swims during the day do not count). The main aim of the Bold and Beautiful is to provide a fun group activity, so we request that the “regulars” please welcome any new swimmers who wish to try the Boulderdash for the first time. They will feel much more at ease if they are swimming as part of a group.

What a great morning – our wonderful B&B swim, followed by the free brekkie at MW in less than 10mins!! (Thx for helping me out with it, Simon & Jon. I think word’s got around about my being the HK Triad Queen:-)) and then free pilates at Dynamic Pilates on Pittwater St – a free week for a tick on fb!!
Just wander round Manly and say you’re a friend of HKTQ and you may be in luck too!

Well done, Laura! A true B&B warrior now! I forget if it was you or Jazzy who got the finger bluey ages ago…. a bit unlucky on a board, but then it makes for great blog-tarting and stories at school! I mean, not all the girls arrive, having paddled to Shelly and back and with war-wounds to show for it!!

Great to be back, been a bit slack/busy/ surgery blah blah.
Laura found the worlds smallest bluebottle but assured me it packed a considerable wallop, all the way back to manly! Hot shower worked wonders and then on to social media to show and tell her mates.
Hope others faired ok with the blueies .

I think Ali (In first pic) copped most and I heard a few other ladies got a bluey medal too…. I’m with Laura – the tiny ones can be the meanest!
Congrats, Sam, on making Swimmer of the Day, furthest in 30 days AND B&B star all at the same time! Definitely a First!! Simon was also mumbling about how you’ve broken his record:-))

All very embarrassing but thank you Simon for the mention. I think as penance if anyone wants to do bolder dash for the first time I will try to be there for a 555 start every morning and will swim with them…

Sorry – that came out wrong – I meant to say I would be delighted to swim next to anyone who wants to do bolder dash but finds it a bit daunting ( I certainly did the first time I did it)!

Great idea!
Bolderdash induction with Sam!
Would you swim from here to there?
Would you swim with John or Bob?
Would you swim with Sky or Rob?
Would you swim around their house?
Would you swim with someone’s spouse?
Great blog Simon! 🙂

I liked the minute by minute record of action, Simon. You’ve managed to show some of the wonderful variety of times and ways that people participate in B&B action.
