Mon 18th May 2015 – The all inclusive B&B is not just for swimmers

18/05/201515

What’s happening?

It’s 6am

The boardwalk is alive with activity

The sweeper is clearing joggers and lighting the way down the ramp

There is standing room only due to a tractor/truck traffic jam

Anna and Kane are already making coffees

I swam at 6.05 IN THE DARK with THIRTEEN (13) friends  – no pictures of my swim because is was too dark!!

But the early start, in relatively warm 19 degree water, meant I was able to see the all inclusive B&B is not just for swimmers…..

Here is Jenn leading a controlled booty camp

Billy had time to show me a picture of his new mode of transport

Billy also tried to fix Bruce’s sore knee

While Clair gave me her report from yesterday’s 10km South Head Rough Water Race

(Bondi to Waton’s Bay).

Our Swedish Sarah “podium with Silver”, while Danny, Charlie, Mark, Jackson and Brendan (pictured near the south head lighthouse)  swam magnificently all the way to the finish!!!

Well done guys!!!!

I caught this shot of Jenny, modelling her new wetsuit in pastel shades with a dash of orange

These 3 didn’t swim but just came to enjoy the B&B social interaction.

Gareth talked about his 4mths in the sub-continent including his near miss with the earthquake

Anna did the 6am booty camp

Corrine jogged Queenscliff to Shelly and then left us to talk to the boys.

Carel entertained us as he struggled into his wetsuit

Inge & Melise just wanted their photo to be on the blog

Rob ( I don’t swim on Mondays) wanted a photo with Annie (who swam early)

Table one discussed the foreign ministers boyfriend

Table 2 discussed everything else

While Nick downloaded Elaine’s fantastic underwater shots during today’s 7am swim

She saw four (4) cuttlefish

and a ball of Catfish.

Thanks Elaine

Have a great week ahead

Simon

    6am ’twas dark for sure!
at least Simon’s camera had the good sense to refuse to take snaps in the dark.

do you want to work in Manly?? There’s a job going at AVOKA (where I work) for a “Front End Developer”
Just imagine – you can go swimming / sit around with the A-team afterwards drinking coffee / then walk around the corner and be at work!! 🙂
Not sure my work email will show up in this comment but I will put it anyway… if not come and see me at swimming –
    lcoulter@avoka.com (lcoulterATavokaDOTcom)

What on earth is a “Front End Developer”? Would it suit Al?

LOL well Al is very ‘front end’ 😉
…basically it is a ‘computer programmer’ of some sort…

The actual title of the role is even more complicated:
“Front-end Developer role with web application experience CSS/HTML/JavaScript – ideally with experience in AngularJS”

    Lovely long weekend of blogs!
Lips, I tried sending comments 3 times to your blog, but each time the Vietnamese officials became suspicious and banned them. They’re very nervous about Triad activites here…
Lovely swimming in the ocean in Nha Trang, Vietnam…

Noted Sarah. Communication via blog comments isn’t safe anymore. I call you once you reach the Ecuadorian Embassy. Best of luck!
