Milestones and morning sherry

19/08/20222

The early Friday rises got the see the brief sunrise colour

Milestones galore today!

Jimmy celebrated his 1000km this morning with a perfect swim and perfect hair

What a breakfast! At least two bottles of sherry were passed around for Johnny’s birthday.

The Guvnor loved his swim. Followed it up with a post-swim run… trying to hide from Management because he lost his goggles in the waves they told him to watch out for.

“The ray was this BIG!” says Matt. No one else saw the ray…

A milestone for Tim! His first photo in the blog!

ZigZag was solo – both swim mates have up and left Australia… Because of ZigZag?

Pitch Report

Big crews for both 630 and 7am today. 16.3C on the wall feels about right. Visibility was less than yesterday but still ok, could see the ocean floor. Judges would give it a 6.5/10. Wishy washy at the point, lumpy after that until the shed. Flattening out for you to encounter a nice patch of seaweed and debris. Last leg into Shelly is great, lots of fish, no sudden drop in temperature… or I was already numb to the cold. Tide going out, few larger waves coming back in, the rip had some pull, Management advised to take care and go wide.

Great swim!

Smiles all around today! Happy Friday!
