“Keep your face to the sunshine and you will never see the shadows”

was the wise advice I was given after I devoured a tasty fortune cookie last night. ( It should have read…please rotate your camera before taking this pic! )

The fortune’s of cookies don’t always grab my thoughts and attention, but this one did. It instantly reminded me of our glorious swim and I couldn’t wait to capture the sunlit faces this morning down at the beach. [ Faces pictured below :)]

Today’s conditions were lovely.

A few fun rolling waves to get out to the point and a calm swim over to Shelly! The water was warm..devoid of any nasty things like blueys or lice or “shadows” and the vis was better then I expected out the middle of the bay. A perfect day to lift your head and soak up those morning rays.

Enjoy your day and don’t forget to embrace the light.

Ps..Here’s a suggested “sunny” playlist to brighten  up your weekend ahead.

Here come the sun The Beatles

Lovely Day Bill Withers

Sitting on the dock of the bay Marvin Gaye

In the summertime Mungo Jerry

Follow the sun Xavier Rudd

Sunny afternoon The Kinks

Sunny Boney M

Sunshine of your love Cream

Any track from the Beach Boys

And my personal fave

Sunshine on my shoulder John Denver
