What a great start to Christmas Eve! 260 of us came down to enjoy this beautiful swim that has become such a special part of our lives. Well done to the 26 newbies and it doesn’t get much better than in 20.6 degree warm water!
Of course everyone is welcome in Manly, but it does have that fantastic village, local feel in the mornings…
It was the first of the Summer Triple Crown races this morning with Jimbob again too strong for the rest of the field. Well done and bring on leg 2 on Boxing Day!

Such a great community! If you come down to the swim, make sure you stay around for a coffee on the benches in the sun. Lots of friendly people ready to make you feel welcome!

If you are looking for a service to come to this Christmas you are welcome to join lots of the swimmers at Manly Life Church tonight at 5pm for our Christmas Eve service (www.manlylife.org) . Here is a picture of the kids in their Christmas play (including my daughter as a bumblebee) which they will be doing again this evening. I think most of the kids parents swim at the Bold and Beautiful!

Dear Ali, Peter, Jen and other fish spotting doublers. Google says rage guitar fish are connected to the shovel nose Ray so is it the same? I thought I saw a turtle on my way back but it was just a round clump of sea weed. Pretty good though
