But that didn’t stop us from swimming in the morning… actually it was near perfect conditions… a crisp chill in the calm moody waters…
Manly’s colourful characters were on display… there are gymnasts, unicycles, penny farthings, Bone’s clown car and this guy… all to dazzle you in an amazing shows of skill.
Baird and son of Baird…
The challenge was laid down this morning at Shelly Beach. The race back would include a run to first pipe and back. I hit the sand first and began to plod towards the pipe with about 100m lead on Zac and Dave… unfortunately 50m into the return from the pipe I was caught and demoralised… Well done Zac and Dave… I will return…
Great night at the Bold and Beautiful Christmas party. I felt like I only knew about a third of the people there so my new year resolution is to meet more people down at the swim. I enjoyed the dance floor as it is really only at weddings and B&B parties that you get to dance these days… Great selection of songs from the band too. Chris’ performance left me speechless… who knew that man had such talents. Next year our family will be getting babysitting so that Victoria can come too, to light up the dance floor!

Yep, Storchy was wailing about the cold the second he dipped his toes in the water, BUT we still managed to make it to the Pink Heart (and back!) for the first time in ages…. my fingers were numb by the end, but such a beautiful swim! Not another pink cap in sight!!
