Another beautiful weekend. Here is some of the early morning swimmers with the Drinky Express this morning heading out towards the sunrise. Unfortunately there was not alot in the water this morning but the trusty yellow tail were there.
Some of the swimmers doing their stretches before the swim.
It was a beautiful 19.7 degrees in the water this morning, so why is everyone so afraid to get wet.
Lara & Cheyenne loving the swim. Even if it is cold we are always smiling.
Annie, Arabella and two others with a fashionably late start this morning. Love the dedication even after a late night. Nice work girls.
I didn’t see alot of fish as I mentioned earlier but I did see someones brain left behind. Jokes, this was a beautiful Jellyfish that I came across on my way to Shelley.
All loved up.
If you look closely you can spot Lucy who has reached the 500km. Congratuations Lucy.
Here is one of my sister Lara drowing my daughter Cheyenne with Rainer doing the usual Photobomb.
Cheyenne being a clown and LSA Photobombing
Stephen diving down amongst Yellowfish.
There were loads of Yellowtail this morning swimming in circles. They are amazing to watch.
Sparkles looking for a baby cuttlefish. Seriously I think someone was telling us porkies.
Here is one nice lone fish that I came across.
A baby Puffa Fish
Jasmine showing everyone Shaun’s sign asking people to pinch him
LSA taking advantage of the sign on Shaun and Storchy’s backs.
The most interesting part of the day was a breakfast at Manly Wine this morning. It’s where all the action was, hence why the blog is so late today.
What is rusty saing that has all the girls attention. (Annie, Arabella & LSA) Lap it up Rusty.
What’s wrong Annie Wainne?
Who’s a happy girl now 😉
Nick & Toni talking serious stuff. So did you see all the loved up couples. Must be something in the water. What’s going on..
Storchy looking happy but the bridesmaid just looks afraid. Creepy or not….
We are always trying to be creative with our Pink Cap photos in Random places. Here is one of Storchy & Lesley photobombing the bride.
Best Photobomb with Rainer, Lesley & Storchy
Reminder that on Sundays can you please make sure that you do not obstruct the front right hand side of the surf club as they use that area for the Nippers BBQ. Please put bags to the left or along the beach wall. Thank you
Here’s a little trivia for you.
Kingslayer Jellyfish
While rarely fatal, Irukandji syndrome sends most of its victims to hospital. It takes 5-10 minutes after the sting for symptoms to set in, but when they do, they’re excruciating. A typical set of symptoms includes severe lower back pain, vomiting and muscle cramps, and if particularly serious, could result in toxic heart failure, fluid on the lungs or a brain haemorrhage. Around 30% of cases result in some form of heart failure, and one in five victims suffer life-threatening complications and end up on life support.
Glad they remain in the waters of Northern Queensland. Jimbles don’t seem so bad after all.
on a nice note
These are baby seahorses being ejected from the fathers pouch. Male seahorses can carry up to 2,000 eggs at a time and the pregnancy lasts from 10 to 25 days depending on the species. I know that Cabbage Tree Bay has some Seadragons so hopefully we will see some SeaDragons around some time soon. (image and details taken from fb page Science Alert)

Swim Safety
With the large numbers of swimmers we now have swimming with us, the risk of collision with other swimmers is increasing. We request that, where possible, you swim with the group, either at 6.30 am or 7 am. This will reduce the possibility of injury from a collision. One of our swimmers in the 7 am group recently suffered a substantial injury in a collision with another oncoming B & B swimmer. The injury required medical attention and a layoff from swimming of three weeks. Worst of all, the other swimmer did not stop to see if our swimmer was injured. If you must swim at other times, you should swim wide or close to the shore if possible to avoid other oncoming swimmers. Also be aware at all times of where the swimmers in the regular group are. Thank you for your co-operation.
Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.

Great blog – the couple will have some lovely, memorable wedding pics too, all courtesy of B&B Blog Tart Services!
Rusty was telling us about how Hugh Grant impersonated him and stole his act, so now Rusty’s in Manly where most people haven’t heard of Hugh. Fascinating stuff!
And poor Annie was given a soya latte filtered capuccino double express instead of something that sounded much the same to Derek and the waitress. But a quick replacement and the usual smiles:-)
Little Laura’s 100K – amazing achievement! Jazzy will be very soon. Celebrating with their “pinch me” signs. Look forward to the next trick!

Top blog as always Renae 🙂
Love the brain jelly.
Great trick Laura and Jassie, gotta keep Shaun and Storchy on their toes.
It looks like Shaun’s disappearing though… what’s going on!?
Great wedding shots, reminds me of Nick the Brick’s ‘episode’ at Pete and Sheri’s wedding. Everyone remember that !? About time that video got another airing if not 😉
Good luck to Anthony Lowes and David Washbrook who are both competing in the World Ironman Championships in Hawaii today !!

Great blog Renae!
Loved the sea horse and the photo bombing.
Congrats to Lucy and I hope she is not too jealous of Brad being kissed by a younger woman.
Laura was, after all abiding by a BnB tradition of kissing the nearest non relative upon clocking over a milestone hundred k’s (100,200,etc).
Lucy, who received your affections?? I noticed a long line forming!!
A fine tradition which should be more closely observed, don’t we think.
Avagoodweekend one and all

Agree, Renae’s sign-off photo rocks.
I heard it’s boosting Saturday blog site visits by up to 350% in Japan and South Korea. It’s also one of the reasons the blog is banned in the UAE. Fact.

Marvellous photos today Renae! I loved all the info about the marine life. The Pufferfish, or possibly Toadfish, has unusual markings – I’ll send the image to Mark at the OzMus to check the ID.
No idea what the Jelly is – I’ll check with the Invertebrate folk at the Museum. And while I was trying to ID it, I found this:

Keep watching till the end!

Great blog again Renae.
Good work Lazz and Laura, you win today’s round!
We will still look after you both and find you both a boyfriend soon.
Renae, your sign off pic is a reason the blog is banned from my house too. FACT!
Jules, great to hear from you, we can’t talk about body types on the blog or the appropriate police will be out in force again! I do recommend booty camp though in combination with the John Forster and DWSS (I could have been someone) swimming everyday in winter. Don’t tell JK or he will dispute the fact.
Storchy, I am so proud of your blog tarting today! See what happens when you put some effort in. That Spangled Emporer has nuttin!
