I live in Dee Why and always look forward to the first sighting of the Queenscliff to Shelly vista. It always lifts the spirits and today was qute exceptional.A gorgeous sunny morning and a calm ocean.

Even the ramp was civilised today, with the end pretty much level with the sand.

In the water I encountered Amanda in a rather fabulout swimsuit and she kindly consented to feature in today’s blog

Then this mother-daughter duo whose names I have sadly forgotten

Miguel and cohort

Our saviour walking on water

Lucky to sport Ian who reminded me to add the Christmans Party link

It was quite murky in the water but the Pocillopora aliciae were clearly visible

This is what it looks like close up. Sadly it is not reef building coral. Penny says, so it must be true.

This very lovely female groper intent on breakfast

I noticed a stunning shell and marvelled at its symmentry but started to wonder if it was a shell at all.

Turned it over carefully in case I may have disturbed a resident, but fortunately it was unoccupied.

Louise thought it was lovely so she is going to give it to one of her tribe of grandchildren.

Bruno was taking advice from Mister Emotiional Intelligence aka Napoleon while Izzy looked on encouragingly.

The weekend is coming and so’s Christmas. Have a great rest of the day everyone
