Shelly doing a great impersonation of herself. A natural ballerina.
Such a stunning morning – sunshine, surf, sand (lots of it) and a light breeze. Our friend in the mid ground is very aptly doing clam shells.

I asked Ian how the swim.was and the response was a very mild obscenity. He also said there was zero visibility. Pretty much true except for around Shelly
Daphne said it was a workout. Also true.
Viz really was poor but here’s a seaweed pompom

And the monster wave of the day

This is what a helium balloon looks like after bursting. Kinda looks like a jellyfish, no wonder turtles sometimes eat them with deadly effect.

And now for the great news, something we need in these times of sorrow, fear, delusion, hate and general ignorant nastiness. Some of you may know that Brownie the biggest of our resident turtles was rescued recently after having been entangled in fishing debris. Infection spread across to a front flipper and for a while prospects of survival were doubtful but thankfully s/he has pulled through and release is planned for today at 11am. Brownie is a big and heavy turtle and the release won’t be happening at the ramp.Photo provided by Peter Hutchins. So healthy looking! Safe travels, Brownie, hope to see you soon.

I believe the onshore wind has started to bring in the dreaded blue tentacled stinging things. On my way to my car I head someone say they’d been stung.
Here’s something interesting from John Butler. Is that an 11 string guitar?
Have a fabulous day!!!
