This morning I was corresponding with a friend about expressions including in Latin that describe things we all know. The exceptional Jelly Fish swimmer tribe was in CBT and told me there was a turtle below. I looked and looked but could not see it. But I know it was there because the Jelly Fish said so. They were joined by Lewis who travelled from Alice Springs to swim – welcome! Believing something to be true because a person in authority or a trustworthy person says so is Ad Verecundiam and who is more trustworthy than a swimmer?
The turtle was presumably moving about to work off its Christmas lunch (whether traditional, non-traditional, vegan, pescatarian, bbq or catered (OR, if it does not celebrate Christmas, its lunch).
A trio treat of swimmers
And what a delight to find that others are engaging in Hijinks and that is Ad Populam – if someone is engaging in hijinks while swimming, then it must be good. And so it is true.
A little shark at the point.
Some swimming
I also saw a ray. That is because a ray whisperer swimmer pointed it out

Thumbs up for a great swim
