BOLD & BEAUTIFUL IS NOT CURRENTLY MEETING DUE TO THE CONTINUED RISK OF COVID-19. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONTINUE PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND FOLLOW PUBLIC HEALTH ADVICE. THANK YOU FOR SWIMMING AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY.
As you know, all swimmers are good looking or better looking than non swimmers. On days like today that involves having a good look at the sea and checking for conditions. There is no one view of conditions – it is about the suitability of conditions to your own ability. There is nothing that strikes terror into my heart more than the words “It is ok if you time it” because first of all that suggests you know how to time anything against I-am-not-sure what. Secondly if you are with someone else who can judge things, they will time it according to their own speed which will not be my speed. I am unique.
So it is great that there are lots of ways of tackling a swim at Manly and it is a great way to start the day.
Kate always gives the most reliable reports of fish sightings. Looking good

Would the A team be going half way? No way!
Early swimmer

Got in – it was tough
Looking pleased – well done
Jocelyn and Helen
Tap elbows and go in – one to surf and one to swim
On the way
Looking at the swimmers on the waves. I met Matt Abbott the New York Times photographer on the way to half way and he was looking at the waves too and taking photos.

Looking over their shoulders
