Friday 8th: Everyone Lit-Up in Sunny Orange

08/05/20157

The orange sunrise lights up the sand … and this is the fourth blog in a row to mention sun in its title.  Were we all that waterlogged with rain?

The sunrise – and the sea – are so beautiful, still and colorful this morning …

This flock of birds (above) wheeled over the sea for several minutes …

Did anyone realise how much our pink caps “jelly-wrinkle” across the crown?

Booty Camp is thin on the ground today … Scorchio, Dreamboat and Jo

“Tickle your bum with a feather”

Nathan, Jason and Sarah …

In a week’s time, there will be no more manual logging-on.  You can kiss this book goodbye …

Ted disguises himself, in case the chopper comes back for a second perve …

Ian has swum with us for a couple of years.  A long-time rugby player, his left knee is a bit buggered.  But he still hits the beach seven days a week: surfing, swimming or jogging.  He is a happy man …

The Seven A.M. mob prepares to launch …

While sisters Clair and Ali are done and dusted, and tucking into warming coffees.  Their accents are delightfully melodic …

To Sea; to Sea …

Sarah looking splendid with this cool towel …

IRON CAKE

Shannon and Alex (who swim with Drinks Express on Fridays) completed the Ironman last week, and are celebrated today with a big, strong Ironman cake!

7.15 a.m. Coles Report: the crocs are on the shelf …

LAST SATURDAY:

A Bolds swimmer walked past Sunny Benches last Saturday at 9.30, still dripping wet.  How could this be?  Turns out he’d swum not two but Three Shellys – and then up to Queenscliff as well!  I asked for proof, and he reluctantly forwarded this SatNav tracker.

He’s not a dentist, but I can only show you his togs.  Notice how his relentless kilometres are gradually weathering the logo away …

And a couple of group leaders … Captain Drinks of the speedy 6.30ers, and Sergeant Storch of the hard-working Band of Booty Brothers

I loved Bloggin’ Brian‘s Tuesday photo so much, I am borrowing it for today please … (Click to enlarge)

Stats:

All I know is the water felt similar to the air

Brendan is the satnav tracker swimmer…
I recognise his attempt to draw a fish pic with it’s tracking anyday

Lesbubbs, I googled top ten quotes from Sound of Music
    🙂
Yes … notice how Brendan sweeps wide either side of entry/exit at Shelly – what’s going on there?

Disaster! I was so late out of the water today that I missed the cake! (fish-spotting is my excuse, snail-pace the awful truth).

Well it’s well known that I lean to the left 🙂
Would you believe … it was just that the seas were up, so I went wide around the point on the way to Shelley and came in nearer the Bower. Swimming out from Shelley there was a lot of whitewater in the middle which forced you left.
PS The line to Queensie is zig-zagged as I kept looking around for the Man in the Grey Suit who had visited Roberto
