The orange sunrise lights up the sand … and this is the fourth blog in a row to mention sun in its title. Were we all that waterlogged with rain?

Ian has swum with us for a couple of years. A long-time rugby player, his left knee is a bit buggered. But he still hits the beach seven days a week: surfing, swimming or jogging. He is a happy man …

LAST SATURDAY:
A Bolds swimmer walked past Sunny Benches last Saturday at 9.30, still dripping wet. How could this be? Turns out he’d swum not two but Three Shellys – and then up to Queenscliff as well! I asked for proof, and he reluctantly forwarded this SatNav tracker.
He’s not a dentist, but I can only show you his togs. Notice how his relentless kilometres are gradually weathering the logo away …

And a couple of group leaders … Captain Drinks of the speedy 6.30ers, and Sergeant Storch of the hard-working Band of Booty Brothers

Yes … notice how Brendan sweeps wide either side of entry/exit at Shelly – what’s going on there?

Disaster! I was so late out of the water today that I missed the cake! (fish-spotting is my excuse, snail-pace the awful truth).

Well it’s well known that I lean to the left 🙂
Would you believe … it was just that the seas were up, so I went wide around the point on the way to Shelley and came in nearer the Bower. Swimming out from Shelley there was a lot of whitewater in the middle which forced you left.
PS The line to Queensie is zig-zagged as I kept looking around for the Man in the Grey Suit who had visited Roberto
