Your expectations can affect how things turn out. The rain overnight and the slightly cooler temperatures made people wonder about coming for a swim. But those who did were very glad. Calm waters. Gentle waves. Clear as it can be. Lots of fish about. Delightful.

When I was thinking about the temperature, I had in my mind an image of Alice Goodridge swimming in Loch Insh in Scotland so, by comparison, it felt warmer in the water
