Arriving for a swim with the dashboard showing 9 degrees, and seeing the water temperature may not seem something to feel cheerful about but it is. And I am a grumpy old person.
The sea was calm and clear. Β And it was John Schaeffer’s 60th birthday. Happy birthday – what a way to spend it. looks like a slightly religious experience
After teh sherry in small glasses – thanks John – some excellent brownies.
Some newbies – good time to start. It is an addiction in the making
Eye catching Nic and Laura
Javier
A team members. One with new cap
Some gratuitous shots of good looking people
The lovely Wendy has another excellent trip planned. I look forward to seeing photos in due course
I know this is a photo of the point because John Kelly is here
Encounters with early swimmers – so many today. And are they not the best looking
They saw a turtle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Swam and now running
Andrew trying to get out of shot. not everyone is keen to be in the blog it seems. In fact many people don’t agree to be in it. Jim.
This early swimmer heard about the turtle and mistakenly taking account of my speed of swimming photographed me.
What I have been reading
INto the Woods by T French – fabulous crime Β fiction set in Ireland. Now off to work:

Marvelous work Elizabeth, as always. And thanks for having a birthday John, the swim across the bay was fortified tremendously by that little snifter of Jerez’s finest export
