As Christmas approaches, we all have our rituals and traditions, visiting family and friends near or far, via main roads and airports, going to an annual location for a holiday, having an end of year concert, shopping or preparing to work. Some of us have a favourite Christmas movie and a quick survey reveals that for some people it is Love Actually (for me, a Christmas movie should have Bruce Willis in it). BB has its own version with various stories culminating in a Christmas day swim with swims either side of Christmas day, including badge swims. Here are some of our own Christmas stories
Karen and Maryanne with their special Christmas caps are ready
The temperature of the water is good despite the hailstorms last night
Here is Fern from Newcastle. Belinda brought her friends Amanda and Graham to BB to swim which is a lovely thing to do for friends. Because it is lovely to swim with BB
Happy birthday Lucy
Six years ago Eric commenced on a journey which ended in an arc of triomphe today: 100km under his belt. Proof that this is a personal activity
We were joined by two champion swimmers from Fiji today – welcome – photo under the A team tree. I hope you enjoyed it today

Well done to all swimmers who completed the 10k or 6k swim challenge this morning. The conditions deteriorated as we approached Queensciff so changes were made the normal course. Remember to register your swim.
