And now… here is a look at last week – the photos I took but could not download:
AND NOW TO TODAY’S BEAUTIFUL MORNING
YES. The temp is over 20. Was it really only a few months ago it was under 15? And there is still some sea weed but much less. And quite clear beyond the bay. So many gropers around the point. They are a joy to see flaunting their vivid colour – they don’t know the meaning of camouflage.
Gonzalo originally from that skiing capital of the southern hemisphere Argentina but now of North Steyne has been swimming for 4 years with BB. he had to use the wetsuit today because that was all he had and it is not the solstice swim today.
Is this evidence that Roger’s story about the birth at the surf club really happened on Monday
take the wet suits off – it’s too hot
all 3 are hot swimmers – with and without wet suits
Steve has already swum. Keep cool today
Early swimmers resting while 7 am swimmers go in
These swimmers brought wet suits and have to swim with the suits half-off to keep cool.
Some swimmers getting ready to get in with a swimmer-in-training in the pram, getting the vibe
Early swimmer with plastic – BB leaves the sea better after having swum
this is the phantom in between early swimmers aka Michael
The shower scene by popular demand
a couple of newbies signing up. 15 new swimmers today. Is there anyone in Sydney who has not tried BB yet?!
The real deal swimmers
Welcome back John
I was ready to take this photo as I was just taking the time to do some deep water aquarobics. Not unusual looking at all
again I did nto make it to Shelly so I stopped people on the way back. Who does not want to have their rhythm interrupted when getting going?!
I am looking at this photo and wishing I were in that water right now. What hot day
Best question ever – last week I ran into Fiona D (this time not literally) and she asked what my actions were and if I was doing a drill (although the actual words were that she was wondering if i was doing some sort of drill but that is just detail). and YES I WAS!! I am still pleased about it. I so want to improve and drills are the way to go.

B&B Monthly Dinner – Guest Speaker
The next B&B monthly dinner for the year will be held on Tuesday 13th November at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. Our guest on the night will be one of our swimmers, Tony Stuart, who is the CEO of UNICEF Australia. Tony will talk about his work in Africa, including South Sudan and Senegal.
Please book early for this event as it is sure to be popular. The cost of the dinner is great value at only $25 a head, which includes shared entrees, and a selection of mains to choose from (including a vegetarian option). Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential: To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please book HERE.
Hi everyone! A group of Northern Beaches Boaties are heading out to Dubbo on the 9th of November to give our farmers a helping hand. Our goal leading up to leaving is to have a few Surf Boats filled with non-perishable food items and household essentials for our hard working farmers. We will be out the front of Manly Surf Club on Sunday from 9-1 collecting food. Grab a few things out of your cupboard or pop into the supermarket on your way over. Let’s show our farmers that the Bold and Beautiful swimmers are behind them!!
What I have been reading
I am finishing “An Isolated Incident” and started the new Jane Harper book. The first one started well with a uniquely Australian voice but could really have had a good edit. The author may have started with the notion of writing a book about violence against women and then put some plot lines together but the plan still showed
The next one too early to say

Thx Elizabeth for all your lovely blogs. So lovely to be out of my wetsuit today!
Just had another little swim – so refreshing. The sand is now blazing hot. What a change in a few days!
