Finding your tribe

21/10/20178

We have many tribes in life, be it family, friends & activities. Mostly we don’t recognise that they are our tribe (family excepted) but we know there is something that connects us. I recently started a new job and generally I jump in and don’t really think too much about the personalities or potential tribe peoples at work. I usually just hope there will be someone who I will become lunch buddies with and leave it at that. This experience was a totally different. On my first day I felt welcome and interested in. When I thought about it later, it dawned on me that I had found my work tribe and it made me really happy. Whether they are my tribe is still early days and maybe I am reading too much into it. The thing is it made me feel interested in them and that makes all the difference. This leads me of course to the B&B. You guys are definitely my tribe. That doesn’t mean I know everyone in the group but we have a common purpose (swim to shelly return) and interested always in anything B&B. I look forward to it on the sunny days, bumpy days, east coast low days, king tide days & even the rainy days (ok  I admit jimble & bluebottle days are excluded). My favourite is knowing my tribe will be there with me. Have a superb swim everyone & happy to be part of your tribe.

8:22! Is that a B&B blogging record? You even posted before the triplers hit Manly beach.
    Well done, Jackie.
