Don’t swim at 6am!
The past 3 weeks unfortunately I have had to swim at 6am and it’s been tough…
It’s cold and lonely…desolate..at that time of the morning..
Everyone is mean and unfriendly..
Midge is an As………………
Anne just doesn’t want to know…
Ian..
Fi is snippy…uh no wait that’s just normal.. :-p
The hooks are uncovered and dangerous..
Even the roller door is scary…
Barely a soul to keep you company in the Bay
5 people at The Point (and they don’t want you there anyway)
At Shelly it felt lonely and we waited less than a minute before heading back..
AND it was Lee’s birthday but no one sung!
The whole bay was empty of people…
One LONE swimmer..so sad..
Even the rays turned their backs..
In contrast the 7am swim…. Loads of bags covering those dangerous hooks..
550+ people walking into the water at the same time.. to keep your company!
People everywhere.. you’ll never experience isolation
The line for the shower stretching all the way down the ramp…it’s wonderful having 30 stare at you whilst u shower.. and you get a massive 5 seconds under there..
So whatever you do DON’T swim at 6am!!

Lesbubs you present us with an agonising choice – the soul-wrenching loneliness and cutthroat brutality of the early swim? Or the chaotic melee, battle for bag space, potential for sugar highs/lows of the 7am dip?
PS you look good even when your face is hanging upside down.

That’s going the extra mile employing an x ray machine as well as a camera. At 7 there were a huge number of of jelly blubbers. Gross to swim through.

Really good one! Still don’t know whose leg it is (though Lainey seems to be fessing up) or who is holding you up in the last pic!
You’ve well and truly let the cat out of the bag (especially with your *), so there’ll be a mass invasion of the lovely peaceful early swims, though “shark feeding time” manages to deter about half the swimmers:)
