Ahhh, that’s better, finally someone listened when I said turn it up. It was a balmy 17.7 degrees in the water this morning which is much kinder on the body.
A gentle breeze in the air and the first rays of light displaying the flags on Manly. An iconic image that always makes me smile.
Some of the early morning swimmers step out into the bath of water.
Some morning stretches before the swim.
Some of manly surf club paddleboarding on the flat seas.
That doesn’t look like John. Hold on…. it’s blog tart Rainer. Always stealing the limelight.
Swimming is great for the physique (courtesy of Stephen)
It’s still a little cold for some. Ian at that crucial point, just before it’s gets really cold..
Lesley & David heading off into the water. Looking very comfortable…
Seriously Nigel, it really isn’t that cold..

Happy Birthday Arabella
Arabella dancing while everyone sings happy birthday to her.
As she shouts the famous B&B lets go we are on our way off to find some underwater treasures.
For some this is the only time they find to catch up. Can you guess who you are?
There were plenty of gropers around today and not the kind you may think.
The lengths we go to, to get that perfect shot. Nick in action this morning.
and the other blogger Stephen in action.
Photo of me by Stephen.
and our result, two Flutemouths. It’s all worth it.
Little bugger would not come out from hidding..
Nick came across this Wobbygong & Port Jackson snuggling up on the rocks. What a fantastic shot..
The yellow tails were all over the place this morning. There were loads of them.
and now just a few under water shots.
Someone is a little Camera Shy. He doesn’t look to convincing John

Word of advice, don’t start an argument with Ian, Renae. He wields a lot of power in the higher echelons of BnB. It’s a fight you can’t win! 🙂
Great blog once again!
Impressed by your free diving skills at halfway this morning. Turning into serious competition for Stephen / Nick!!

3 Newbies, one of which (Jacinta) can be seen talking to me in the 11th photo, just before my voice broke. You would do well to heed Lips’ advice. I was otherwise occupied.

Not sure if my favourite pic is the amazing one of the PJ & Woggegong snuggling up together or the lovely one of Storchy & Jack! Sergeant Jack, bet the girls are impressed when you mention you’ve been winter ocean swimming before class! xxx
Annie, special greetings from Kaeng Krachan, Thailand – friends ask after our “lovely friend from Australia”! Munching on the sweetest pineapple and water melon as I view….

Absolutely correct Lippy, it took me a long time to corrupt Ian!!
Renae, as Moses used to say in the Old Testament, “don’t knock the stats man”.

Careful Renae, with that philosophy, you could end up following the blogster home.
Great photos Renae,
I am loving this photo competitiveness you guys have going now.
It is producing some of the best photos I have seen.
That underwater shot you did today was first class and Nick, not every day you see a shark cuddle up to a Wobbi, that was special.
Well done team!
