All those winds overnight made me wonder how the morning would pan out down at Manly this morning, and it certainly flipped around from grey to sunny, windy to calm, it was all there today. My initial view on arrival.
A small crowd initially which then swelled to a total of 320!
Jacob was one of our newbies today, met by Anne at our management table.
Some lovely Can too ladies training for an ocean swim
These two friends shared a chat and a hot drink pre swim on the wall
Michaels golden smile shines far and wide, he’s the one on the left 🙂
Happy birthday to Norman
Lots of christmas outfits are appearing in the swimmers and surf club members paddling out-professionally photobombed by Shaun, more on him later.
Elizabeth was embarking on a 6km swim today, with Val, Margot and Leveena starting together
what a pretty view:
I saw a catfish today and diamond fish:
derek took this shot of me with Gayle, Jenny and Henrietta
A bit of a wait for a tunnel today, so another snap of swimmer as they exit the water
Then we got to cheer Shaun on as he ticked off his 2000km! He had a long time out of the water with a bad shoulder, then had a shoulder replacement 18 months ago, and has slowly but surely rehabbed himself to swimming the full swim again. He’s part of the management team, and also likes to play up a bit when a camera is around. See group of jingle bells above and zoom into facial expression behind them
Max, one of our early swimmers, met up with Sarah and John in Hong Kong this week, and joined them in one of their regular swims.
Nice message to finish off with
Temperature was a lovely 20.2 today, come help celebrate our 10 year anniversary on the 27th december, have a lovely weekend everyone,
Edwina.

Well done to all swimmers who completed the 10k or 6k swim challenge this morning. Conditions deteriorated as we approached Queenscliff so the normal course was changed. Remember to register your swim.

Great blog, congratulations to Shaun.
Many thanks for including our pics with Max in HK – a beautiful swim here in gentle swell last weekend! He should be back in Manly by now.
Wishing everyone Season’s Greetings and a happy and healthy New Year! Jon & Sarah
