So this blog was going to be dedicated to the Return of Rainer! After 18 months off swimming, Rainer has been enticed back into the water by the lure of the WWW Winter Badge.
But he didn’t turn up.
So, a dilemma when we can only exercise in pairs – what to do when your buddy is a no show?
It was a stunning morning. A bit of a movement in the water, temperature is heading in the right direction – 17 degrees today, and while visibility was a little cloudy, multiple Port Jacksons were spotted and a very large, black ray near the yellow shed. I was also stopped by a very excited swimmer who was keen to share he had seen a turtle, ‘… 100 metres over there.’
Check out the Bold & Beautiful Swimmers Facebook page if you want to see fabulous photos of the creatures.
But back to no-show swim buddies. Both Gemma and Annie find the reliability of a warm hottie to be perfect company.
Greg is a solo kind of person. Although he does manage to use, ‘can you zip up my wetsuit?’ as his winter conversation starter.
So tells us in the comments below, how are you budding up?
Have a great day
The Stats
Temp: 17 Degrees
Vis not too bad

Looks like I missed a fab morning!
Isn’t it wonderful that we are still allowed to buddy up with one non-household contact for exercise? Swimming alone can be such a drag.
Missed your blogs, Mary.. let’s buddy up later this week!

Wonderful blog, Mary! Do you think Rainer’s no-show is connected to your photographic evidence that he has only one arm? I reckon Schnitzel von Krumm might be more reliable.
