Tuesday 28th November – A mixed bag

Thankfully I still have my bag, for now. The lifeguards said a bag a day had been stolen recently,  and even more on the weekend which is not good. Perhaps the new surf club will include a safe space for bags!? Anyway on a more positive note the water was  a lovely 21.6c, no jellies...

Tuesday 24th Oct – Glorious day

Making the most of today’s good weather with a sunny forecast of 27c as Thursday’s forecast of a rainy 16c is not so appealing. A tribe of Budgie Smugglers heading in. Melissa (love her vibrant dresses) and Henrietta welcoming newbie, Meg, who has just arrived from the UK and is joining the ever growing team...

Tuesday 19th September – All about options

And options are more important with the return of the jellies. To quote Hels, she saw one bigger than her! Glad I missed that one,  but I didn’t see any, we’ll get to the “why not” shortly. Firstly,  there were no complaints about what a glorious morning it is. Henrietta,  Ian and Gayle all smiles...

Tuesday 22nd August – Another glorious day !

Thanks again to Lainey for providing the “in water” and early morning shots (I’m not there in time for those, one good thing about the late sunrise in winter is that I get to see it, not now though). I haven’t swum since freezing Saturday so although 15.7 is still damn cold, it wasn’t quite...

Happy birthday Lucy and thanks for the yummy cake. Lainey working again and haven't received her photos so that's why there are so few. Rushing to finish so bad lay out.  I've been curious how ChatGPT would go with the blog, previous attempts have been useless but thought it would be fun to include one....

Tuesday 18th July – Changing plans

Lainey had to work today so I’m unexpectedly blogging. She gets all the photo credits, which includes one I’m in and I don’t usually put myself in!! I’m just doing the text. Another lovely morning and warmer sea temperatures than last week. It was 16.9c though I can’t say I feel a big difference. As...

Tuesday 11th July – Endless Glory

How amazing have the conditions been this winter! I’m not sure if it’s just because the last 2 winters weren’t up to par or we’ve been exceptionally lucky. The tough part has only been the temperature, which at 15.7c today was painful to get in and stopped me going all the way in to arctic...
