As you were…

29/01/201514

A couple of days of bad weather and then… as you were! Resume your positions…

Over 80 of us ‘braved’ the 21 degree water with the sun shining down and smiles all around.

Well wow! Wasn’t that interesting in yesterdays blog about the A-team… did I sense a little bit of jealousy from some of the mid pack swimmers? Anyhow, the A-team turned up in force this morning to re-mark it’s territory!

It was a lovely race… I mean swim back, with Scrappy Scotty, Brad, Irishman Alex and the Fat Bishop charging across the bay. It all came down to a wave on the point that left the leader Brad wallowing while Scrappy surfed to victory!

Talking of Brad it is D-day (drop day) for him and Lucy… but that didn’t stop either of them from swimming. It has been decided that Lucy gets to say ‘Let’s Go!” until the baby arrives. After the swim Buck told us a great story of being chased by a huge shark in a Hawaiian ocean race relay.

It was the first day at school for some of our future B&B swimmers. Here is little Sam Baird with Julia, big sis Poppy and the Grandparents. Is this the beginning of another Premier’s education in the Baird family? With the help of the table of knowledge we believe so!

Finally, here is our very own elite category swimmer from the Palm to Whale Beach race finishing a respectable 273rd.

Have a great day!

The Fat Bishop.

Was good seeing all the fair-weather swimmers out and about again. Lesley gained weight.
Nice, gentle revenge blog Bishop. Extra points for covering Sam’s first day at school. Interesting class room. Must be one of those new demountables.

what a great morning for my first swim after a month away in Sth Africa and after my sleeping / waking has tuned back into Sydney. The 14 degree winter air was very unusual but the winterish surf had plenty of smooth 4 to 5 footers coming in giving the chance of a free ride. The swim was warmer than expected. Clear water after the rain was nice but no elephants, buffalo, hippos at the water’s edge. – strange …

    Nice blog Timmy the Bishop!
But why the ‘fat’ self description?
I would have thought more suave, deft and defined was a better description.

That’s really not important Lesbubbles. Whoever did it was probably just doing their job, writing an awesome blog, diligently cleaning it afterwards, and somehow water must have entered in process.
Did I mention you gained weight?

Would it help if I took one or more to Olympus at north ryde. For free they can check it out and quote for replacing seal if that is required

That would be fantastic if you go close to there. I’ve been blogging for over 2 years and have gone through 2 cameras of my own cameras as I use them so often. I’ll give you mine.

Yes Timmy since the Teletubbie description you seem to have lost weight! Sounded a great swim today which I missed as getting Charlie off to school. The Manly Daily will be down at 7.45 am to take photos of Wilf for an article so if anyone can go back in the water with him that would be great. Please remember to bring some money on Saturday for the yummy cakes and slices!
