As Flat as Toddy’s Six Pack

What a morning! Calm, warm, clear water…

So after a few of us catching chunkitis of the belly it was decided we could do with loosing a few ounces… and the results are in…

Scotty has gone from 76.7 to 73.8kgs…

I am down from 91.2 to 85.7kgs…

And the big winner this week is our own Sterling ‘diuretics’ Brain down from 96.5 to 90.0kgs… well done mate!

And isn’t he looking good in the photo below. Victoria and I have been watching some of those health documentaries on Netflix recently like Food Inc, That Sugar Movie and Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead… it is pretty scary what we consume if we have a diet of processed food, fast food and added sugars… So now we just need to keep our new healthy habits up!

Great swim this morning… lots of little races going on… but as has become all too common, James pulled away for a big win in near perfect conditions. Special mention to Muscles Alex who was back near the front of the pack after a long hiatus from the lead!

Here are the gang at the hole in the wall. Why would you go anywhere else? They are fast, friendly and make good coffee!

And finally a little selfie with my good mates Rainer and Pete. Interesting fact for the day… Rainer grew up in the shadow of the Berlin Wall… literally… it was the fence in his back garden! Maybe a good reminder that seemingly intractable divisions between people can eventually be overcome through love, peace, dialogue and understanding… As JC said ‘blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called the children of God…’ and oh how we could do with a world of them right now!
