Morning from Heathrow and apologies for the late blog but packing up got in the way like a large jimble kiss.
Since my last blog I have had another swim/ swoosh in the Wey with my neighbour Leigh. Manus was busy. Allegedly.
This time the autumnal chill had seeped in. We estimated about 15C.
That’s me clutching at straws. A beautiful sunset and sky.
It was a blissful swim with a swan drifting past and I swear it blew us a kiss. May have been a hiss. Always look on the bright side I say.
Meanwhile up north ish in Lincolnshire the wild swim groups had taken to eating more cake and sipping some wine as the weed choked up the water ways. They are an inspiring and funny lot much like our group and I recommend anyone coming to the UK join in. Such fun.
And it’s illegal to wild swim which makes it a must :). Nothing like a ‘no swimming’ sign to get one inspired. #badass
Also managed a wild walk along Hadrian’s wall. This was Hadrian’s north western border of his vast sprawling empire. Impressive. He took the mineral rich (the nearby Pennines) southern side of the wall and left the north which was arable land minus minerals to the celts to eventually claim. The Scots moved in later. The red berries of autumn are around and so are the blackberries to feast on. Jonny and Paul (our son) model #hintsofautumn
The UK office bid us farewell with a tray of cupcakes featuring all the flags of our offices ( UK, AUS and Hong Kong) which was very delicious and thoughtful #cupcakediplomacy. Move over Kissinger.
Pearls and cupcakes have a certain fashionista ring to them. Some of the team take their picks.
Unlooking forward to quarantine but really looking forward to seeing you all , have our first swims in the bay and being home again #suitcaseallergydeveloping.
Hambe Kahle and enjoy your new freedoms.
Please refer to other blogs for the badge blurb. My flight just called 😉
