On this slightly cooler morning and a reminder of the Winter swimming to come this morning we were faced with a swim of two tales;
It was the best of conditions, it was the worst of conditions
it was the start of Uggs and wetsuits, but also the usuals in budgy smugglers
it was the epoch of dusky’s, it was the epoch of Barrel Jellies
it was the season of flat seas at the point, it was the season of barraging waves at the Bower
it was the Autumn of 21 degree waters, it was the winter of 14 degree winds
we had the bright sunrise before us, we had no viz under us
we were all going direct to Shelly, but not all swam it direct back to Manly
Early morning crews enjoying the extra daylight
Elaine reporting back on the poor viz
Hattie being welcomed back after a mini hiatus
Hailie talking up the rolling waves
Faye eagerly anticipating her debut swim (one of these days she promises)
TGIFs Squad discussing next season plans
Spotted early this year
All in all another great day to start the week off!
Happy swimming all

A very apt description of a beautiful morning but rather ordinary swim!

Very nice photos. Strong water today! It was truly a washing machine getting to Shelly
